In Armasy network, we have been on vacation for the third time. Previously, we stayed at Armasy Kaplan (Kemer) and Armasy Saray Regency (Side). Both were rated 5 stars. After that, we went to Cesars Side hotel three times in a row (we liked everything about it), but this year it became excessively expensive, so we decided to go back to Armasy, but to a 4-star hotel. So, we stayed for 14 nights in the second half of September, with 2 adults and a child. The tour operator was Anex, and we flew with Turkish Airlines, on an old but sturdy Boeing 777. Check-in: We arrived at the hotel on September 16th at 11:05 pm. Everyone at the reception spoke Russian. I mentioned that we had already stayed in the Armasy network several times, specified where, and requested a room on the second floor with a sea view if possible. And they actually gave me such a room, House with a Cow, room 279. From the balcony, you can see a small piece of the sea. We were checked in instantly. No questions to the reception. A light bulb wasn't working in the bathroom, and they changed it 5 minutes after I reported it. Perfect. The room: The rooms are small. Don't be misled by the photos taken with a wide-angle lens, the rooms are very compact. You enter the living room directly from the stairs, there is no hallway. There is a second room behind the curtain, small but cozy, and it leads to the balcony. And the balcony is luxurious and spacious. I also want to tell you about the toilet door - it is right in front of the center of the bed in the main room, and it is a sliding door with a 2cm gap on both sides. It's amusing, but you won't have privacy in the toilet - you sit on the toilet and observe what's happening outside through the gap. And they observe you too. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere in the world so far. Also, the soundproofing is 100%. It feels like your neighbors are just one meter away from you. How the builders managed to achieve this is a mystery of the century. I'm not sure if all rooms are like this, but that's how it was for us. In general, the room was like any other room. The plumbing works, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning cools well. The safe was an old-fashioned one with a key. And you hide the key in your suitcase. The staircase is steep, but I've seen worse, and no one fell while I was there. But of course, it doesn't meet our safety standards... Territory/Infrastructure: Well-maintained, beautiful, large territory. Mandarin trees, palm trees, and so on. The zoo spoils everything. No, it's cute, and it's fun for the kids to feed the birds and rabbits (for the first 3 days). But they smell. And quite strongly. I can't imagine how people in the opposite rooms live. The zoo is cleaned once a week, releasing all the "forest gang" to roam around the hotel... They run on the paths and poop. The territory is divided by a road (on which no one actually drives) into two parts. This is in the style of the Armasy network - to make two hotels into one. The part of the territory closer to the sea (with hills) probably belonged to the Vanessa hotel, which is now abandoned at the end of this road. There are only two bars - one by the main pool and one by the sea. There is no lobby bar. The lobby itself doesn't exist, just a canopy on the street, with a few chairs and the reception area. If you go during the hot period, you can only hide from the heat in your own room with air conditioning. There is no air-conditioned public area (except for the dining hall) in the hotel. Sea and beach: Overall, it's decent. The beach is sandy, and the entrance to the sea is sandy, with a strip of small stones. Coral reefs are not needed. If you walk one meter to the right, where someone else's beach begins - there is a perfect sandy entrance there. The beach chairs are usually occupied from 9 am, but the grass in front of the sea is always free. The same goes for the pool area. There is always a place to lie down. Food, Bars: The food is good. At the level of budget 5-star hotels. No complaints about the food at all. Ice cream for lunch and dinner, champagne for dinner, a few times they served protvein (strong sweet wine). Red fish every other day... Seasonal fruits, delicious watermelons, fresh figs a couple of times... So, the food is decent. The staff is friendly and tries their best. The only downside is that there is no microwave in the dining hall, so if someone needs to heat their own food, they can't. Alcohol in bars - a simple Turkish wine menu, same as everywhere. Strong alcohol is poured from microscopic bottles, only 4 grams each for some reason... Simple cocktails like whiskey-cola and gin-sprite are mixed with cheerful colored dyes. They also prepare supposedly real cocktails for an extra fee (7 dollars!), but I haven't seen anyone order them. There is one bar with strong drinks, by the pool. The second bar is by the sea, where they only serve beer and lemonade. But they do prepare decent pizzas there (not a feast, but good enough) and nuggets with french fries - unlimited from 11 am to 4 pm. They also made pancakes a couple of times... About norovirus and disinfection: The table setting in the main dining hall consists of plastic mesh placemats with cutlery placed directly on them. See the photo. It's physically impossible to wipe these placemats from food residues... They do wipe them, but it's not effective. Although we didn't get sick, the cutlery and hands were treated with antiseptic before meals. And I haven't seen anyone getting sick in the hotel during this period. In conclusion, it's a good hotel for the money. There are both pros and cons, but there are more pros.
